Just me

Hello there!

I’m a nature enthusiast, tech geek, and all-around family guy. When the weather is sunny, you’ll often find me exploring the great outdoors with my family, especially in the beautiful Harz region, where we enjoy hiking and biking adventures.

Football is a passion of mine, and while my own playing days on the local team are behind me, I’m now a dedicated supporter of FC Bayern Munich, especially in the thrilling matches of the Champions League.

I’m also a movie buff, with a taste for either side-splitting comedies or thought-provoking films that spark hours of post-movie discussions.

Music is a constant companion in my life, and I appreciate a wide range of genres.

During the darker seasons, I tinker with electronic gadgets and IoT devices like Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Occasionally, I take on the challenge of reviving used and supposedly „broken“ gadgets. My latest project involved a Clavinova electric piano, which I acquired at bargain and managed to bring back to life with a few IC replacements.

In my downtime, I occasionally lose track of time competing against friends in online FIFA matches on my trusty PS5. It’s always a blast, especially when I can sneak in some solo gaming sessions without my wife noticing.

With my kids, I love to goof around to loud music, dancing, or creating hilarious music videos. When the weather is fine, we enjoy spending time in the garden or racing our customized remote-controlled cars, which, of course, I’ve tuned up myself.

My interests span a wide array of subjects, and I tend to immerse myself intensely in whatever captures my curiosity. There are times when I’m glued to the computer for up to 18 hours a day working on various projects, but there are also phases when I unplug completely and focus on non-digital pursuits.

In my professional life, I’ve always thrived in team settings. I’m a dedicated team player, but I’m never afraid to express my opinions openly and constructively. I believe in maintaining a respectful and content-focused communication style, and the feedback I’ve received from colleagues has been consistently positive.

When it comes to technical skills, I’d describe myself as highly versatile with a rapid learning curve. There may be countless things I don’t know or haven’t heard of, but I’m confident that I can dive into most subjects and get up to speed relatively quickly.

To learn more about my diverse interests and projects, feel free to explore the corresponding Skills sections on this website.

I am currently working on my certification as an ethical hacker (EC-CEH) to deepen my knowledge of cyber threats and how to protect against them.

Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to connecting with you!
